Blog #14 - College Bound

1) Cristian Islas,  Midfielder for University Of California with 97 goals in a season. Cristian's goal is to play for FC Barcelona as a midfielder or goalkeeper. His spirit and love for the game really influences you to go put on a pair of cleats and play.


2) However when it comes down to bad behavior Cristian recently got arrested for speeding while driving drunk. Police say he was going 80 MPH on a 60 MPH freeway. He went to court and payed the fine of $5,000. He says that it was a mistake and had to do with his personal life.


3) I don't think you should believe everything you see on the internet because most if it is fake unless the website is legitment like a news website or something credible.


4) Your digital footprint is important because its how people view you online wise. For example if your applying for a job online the employer can do a background check on you. He/She would be able to see whether your a slacker or a hard worker. They would look at your blogs and or anything connected to your email or any other information you gave them, proving that your digital footprint is important.

6) Ways teens share their info online are websites like Facebook, Instagram, Myspace, Youtube, and whole lot of other things that could be apps or websites.


7) Yes, up to the point where they post pictures of them half naked.


8) I don't use any social websites.


9) I do because if I were to to do an online applicaton the employer could check out my digital footprint and see how I am in my personal life.


10) When I use to use social websites i was a really quite person. The only reason i made them was just cause of friends.

Blog # 7 - Role Model

              My role model is Tim Howard. He is currently a goalkeeper for English club Everton and the United States national team. Howard was born and raised in North Brunswick, New Jersey. As a kid his parent s got divorced and he chose to live with his mother Esther Howard. His father wanted to get both him and his brother, Chris, as soon as possible. He started buying them gear to see which spot they preferred, Tim leaned towards soccer and basketball. 
              
              As he got towards middle school and high school Tim joined a soccer camp where a scouter saw his potential and took him under his wing. Tim was a midfielder and goalkeeper but he was much better in the goal. Since then Tim had joined clubs and got higher and better, at 16 Tim had played his first professional game for the North Jersey Imperials. Howard is a great goalie and I want to be just as good as him considering I just started but I do want to get better at it.
